Botswana boasts one of Earth’s richest ecosystems, with landscapes defined by the vast sands of the Kalahari Desert and the lush green plains of the Okavango Delta, where annual floods create a sanctuary for Southern Africa’s most iconic wildlife.

Your safari will begin at the exclusive Xigera Safari Lodge in the Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Herds of magnificent elephants, towers of giraffes and roaming lions are just some of the impressive animals you can expect to see on game drives, and boat and helicopter trips offer incredible adventures within this the landscape. Following this, 1953 will take you east to Mozambique, known for its swaying palms, glistening waters, and white shores. You will stay at Kisawa Sanctuary, a secluded property in the Bazaruto Archipelago surrounded by serene golden sands, from which you can scuba dive and snorkel in the crystal-clear Indian Ocean. A visit to the Bazaruto Center of Scientific Studies follows, where dugongs and humpback whales are researched, and with 1953’s conservation network we can organise an opportunity to learn more about these magnificent whales. A trip that journeys from the lively wilderness of Botswana to the tranquil coast of Mozambique, experience the natural wonder of Africa’s diverse landscape.
