DOMINICA

Dominica is a place shaped by depth – of forest, of water, of life.
Just offshore, the seafloor drops more than 1,500 metres into the open Atlantic, creating a rare convergence of volcanic island and deep ocean. This abrupt descent supports a rare phenomenon, a resident population of sperm whales living year-round in coastal waters, augmented seasonally by migrating bulls arriving from the North Atlantic.
This expedition unfolds between sea and land. Days begin offshore, aboard a yacht guided by local experts, before entering the water to share quiet, respectful encounters with families of sperm whales as they surface, rest, and communicate. Time in the ocean is balanced with exploration inland, where rainforest trails lead to waterfalls, geothermal valleys, and the dramatic landscapes of Morne Trois Pitons National Park. This experience is shaped by time at sea and inland exploration within a landscape largely untouched by human activity.
This is Dominica in its rawest expression, shaped by deep ocean, volcanic land, and encounters found nowhere else in the Caribbean.
