Diving in Namena Marine Reserve
Namena Marine Reserve is home to some of Fiji’s best dive sites, the North, and South Save-A-Tack passages. Descend into sheer drop-offs teeming with marine life, including dogtooth tuna and grey reef sharks. The well-camouflaged seafloor hides large groupers lying in wait for prey while schools of trevally swim overhead. A vibrant haven for coral, this reserve showcases a stunning variety including gorgonian fans, black coral, soft coral, and an incredible array of reef fish.
Helicopter Rafting
Take on the challenging grade three rapids of Viti Levu’s idyllic Upper Navua River, home to one of the most unique river canyons on Earth inside the highlands of this remarkable island. To reach the river, 1953 will arrange a helicopter drop off and pick up on The Upper Navua River. Here is your hidden pathway to a pristine tropical wilderness, shrouded in lush rainforest, fed by countless waterfalls and protected by exhilarating rapids.
Kioa Cultural Village Visit
Kioa is a special village in Fiji because it is home to a sole community of Tuvaluans, originally from the island of Vaitupu. During your visit here, you will have the chance to see their long-preserved traditions first-hand with a traditional dance performance – typically different to Fijian dancing in its style. Kioa’s villages are also renowned for their legendary fishing abilities using their specially carved outrigger canoes.
